Saline Woman's Club Meets at Public Library

The Saline Woman's Club met October 17 in the public library with Mrs. Walter MacArthur presiding. They voted to donate 10 to the Saline Community Chest. Librarian Grace Orwick discussed cataloging work and the library's educational role before noting next meeting details for October 31 hosted by Mrs. Frank Campbell.

Community Forum Planned in Saline With Michigan Speakers

A large Saline crowd is urged for the first Community Council forum at Saline High School Auditorium Monday October 30. Dr Preston Slosson and William A Frayer will present Democratic and Republican views on present political campaign issues with Harold Dorr moderating. Homecoming Class Games Trump Sophomores Ahead of Milan Game

Oct. 19 events at the high school featured a parade with colors and a Model T, relay obstacle race won by Sophomores, freshmen winning the man and rider event, Sophomores taking tug of war, bonfire, Homecoming Queen Shirley Burnett crowned, jug prize to Sophomores, and a free Saline theater invitation. Friday the team lost 27 to 6 at the ball park against Milan Reds.
