A group of 23 ladies from the Saline Women's Club traveled to Toledo Ohio last week for the final meeting of their club year. They dined at Lynns Restaurant, held a brief business meeting, and toured the Toledo Art Museum with a guided tour arranged by Mrs Henry Melenzie.

Federated Church Young Adults Meet Sunday
Federated Church Young Adults plan a monthly gathering on Sunday afternoon May 26 hosted by Mr and Mrs Donald Jaeger at the home of Mrs Jaeger’s parents Mr and Mrs David Anderson on East Shore Drive Whitmore Lake. Memorial Presented to Washtenaw County Hospital
R. J. Swanson of Ann Arbor enabled a memorial gift through Phoebe Beal Circle of Kin 275 Daughters to Washtenaw County Hospital. The 27 by 33 inch head of Christ with plaque and light will hang in the patients dining room in memory of one who cared for others. Mrs H K Burch presented it to Robert Reynolds at the auxiliary annual meeting as remodeling plans for the hospital were outlined.

Army Pfc. Richard O. Hoeft 20 of Saline Michigan plays on the 1st Infantry Division Artillery Section baseball team at Fort Riley Kansas. A pitcher and gunner assigned to Logistics Battery in the 1st Field Artillery Battalion, he entered service in 1955 after graduating from Saline High School.
