Fruit Shortage Foreseen Amid Frost Damage

State Department of Agriculture inspectors report widespread fruit losses from frost with strawberries and raspberries hit hardest. Raspberry and strawberry inspections surge as growers seek stock to plant for 1945 fall and 1946 spring. Rotary Club hears Miss Dorothy Moore on diet and vitamins

Miss Dorothy Moore of the county health department spoke at the Rotary Club meeting at The Tavern about diet for better health and longer life. She urged fruit consumption and growing Victory gardens while noting the risks of refined foods and enriched options. Guests included R. J. Schuler C. L. Corrello Wallace F. Watt H. W. Schumacher and Martin Blair joined the roster bringing members to thirty.
