The Saline Ration Board was officially closed last Wednesday by the Office of Price Administration Detroit. Ann Arbor officials had kept them operating locally for efficiency. Records were moved to Ann Arbor and all future rationing queries go to the Ann Arbor Rationing Board at the Chamber of Commerce building.

Infant Margaret Emerson Dies After Brief Illness
Margaret Elizabeth Emerson ten months old, daughter of Mr and Mrs Weldon Emerson of Saline township, died early Thursday at St Joseph Mercy hospital after a brief illness. Born May 15, 1943, she is survived by her parents and by grandparents Bert Root of Ann Arbor and Samuel Emerson of Saline township. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in Ann Arbor with Rev Henry Lewis officiating, and interment in Forest Hill cemetery.

Jacob Lutz Sr aged 82 died at his Ann Arbor home after a three month illness. Born October 12 1861 in Württemberg Germany he came to Ann Arbor at 17. He married Caroline Hoertz in 1885. she died 1928. Survived by Christine Heingman spouse, four sons Albert Bert Jacob Jr and George, two daughters Mrs Henry Flick and Mrs William Keppler, 18 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Six grandsons serve in the Army. Funeral Sunday with Rev Stellhorn at Forest Hill Cemetery.
