Seniors Return from Trip to Niagara Falls Enjoyable Journey

The Saline seniors returned Thursday night from a trip to Niagara Falls with stops at Ambassador Bridge Dundas and a ride on Maid o Mist. They toured Burning Springs the tunnel under the falls and tourist homes then visited the Cave of the Winds and Buffalo before returning home. Along the way Mr Knicely had car trouble in Ohio and the group split briefly but reunited in Cleveland for a final evening at Cedar Point and reached Saline at 10 pm.

They perform in a tent theatre with new equipment and new plays including Where the River Shannon Flows and four vaudeville acts. Water Safe Status At Saline Pool Under Review

The Saline pool remains unsafe due to private sewers and a slaughter house polluting the water. The Michigan Health Department condemns bathing until sources are removed, Henry Ford interests offered guard service, and a council meeting is planned for June 29 to address river pollution near the Ford dam.

Mrs. Julia M Schmid nee Layher born April 27 1886 Bridgewater died Friday June 19 after seven and a half months bed confinement.
