Commencement Week Closes With Class Night and Address

A small town celebrates graduation week with baccalaureate, followed by a detailed Class Night program featuring a seven guides pageant and portraits of student achievement. Dr. Yoder of Ypsilanti State Hospital delivered a meaningful commencement address as the class plans a Niagara Falls trip to cap the year.

Alumni Banquet Rings Out A Successful Year

A 300-strong group gathered in the school auditorium to welcome the class of 386 and renew ties at the Alumni Association banquet and dance. Miss Vesta Mills led the processional with tables decorated in royal blue and white and diplomas featured as favors. The Good-Will class of Federated church efficiently served a five course banquet.

Sixty Sixth Saline High School Valedictory 1935

Saline High School holds its sixty sixth annual commencement for the class of 1935 1936. Dr O R Yoder of Ypsilanti State Hospital presents Citizenship Cup to the highest ranking class while T M Clay Superintendent presides. Diplomas awarded by Howard F Henne president of the Board of Education with many named graduates listed.

Saline Alumni Banquet set for Friday evening June 12 1936. Menu lists iced tomato cocktail pressed chicken wafers parsley potatoes carrots peas head lettuce with thousand island dressing rolls radishes mint ice cream cupcakes coffee olives.

Alumni Meeting Highlights And Fund Balance

Jean Carleen Burkhart called the meeting to order and adjourned as Wannie Cook led a magazine subscription sale. Seniors chose Pathfinder and were urged to renew magazines like View of Reviews Outlook and Tattler. Poems and pieces from Better Homes and Gardens Modern Dance and Poet Love were featured. The evening ended with dancing and a small treasury surplus.
