Junior class party a success for seniors at the high school
The annual junior party for the seniors was held Friday evening in a rainbow decorated hall with special lighting. Schrad er's band played as about forty couples danced while faculty spouses and Board of Education members added an adult tone. Spectators filled the bleachers and both young and older guests enjoyed the event thoroughly.

Miss Elida M Isbell Dies in Ann Arbor
Miss Elida M Isbell 78, longtime Ann Arbor resident, died Friday morning at the Anna Botsford Bailey home. Born April 1855 in Lodi township, she was daughter of Mason F and Mary M Sheldam Isbell. She served as president at the Bach home for the past nine years. Survived by brother Walter N Isbell of Detroit and several nephews and nieces.

Gross Hardware Store Robbed On Monday Night
The Gross hardware store was broken into Monday night between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. About 200 dollars of merchandise including baseball equipment guns ammunition pocket knives and flashlights were taken. The thieves entered through the rear window and searched the office of Dr. Sigler finding only a sweater and missing gold valued around one hundred dollars. Sheriff’s deputies investigated with a fingerprint expert and several suspects are being watched as Saline endures recent robberies.

John Michael Zahn 69 died Monday evening May 29 at his Saline township home. Born March 9 1864, he married Mary Teufel on May 7 1891 in Saline. He leaves his widow two daughters Mrs Kenneth Wheeler and Mrs Eugene Lamb of Detroit three sons Ernest Saline township Harold Ann Arbor and Carl Detroit one sister Miss Clara Zahn Detroit a brother Thomas Saline township and several grandchildren. Funeral Thursday 2 pm at home and 2:30 pm at St Pauls church Rev C Hi Wittbracht officiating burial Oakwood Cemetery.

Distardly Attempt To Rob Miss Burg
An unknown man hid in Miss Burg Lacetts Burg yard and confronted her inside the house demanding money. She fought back and was choked. Miss Burg, four years old, endured abuse and shock. Silwinski, 43, of Manchester, is held in Ann Arbor jail as a suspect. A tramp arrested last week was released.
