Saline and nearby merchants join Michigan efforts to sell War Bonds and Savings Stamps. Stores display stamps and urge customers to convert change, aiming for 48 million dollars in Michigan yearly. Retailers push a 4 percent monthly sales target during Retailers for Victory month.
Busy six weeks at Saline Valley Farms with picnics indoors due to rain and large crowds at June gatherings. Notable events include a Uni tarian box social to raise funds for a new organ, a socialist state convention led by Norman Thomas, and stag barbecue meals. Staffing shifts include Palley and Meg moving to Adrian, Ruth Luthers replacing Meg, and new poultry staff joining the crew along with other hires. Hostelers arrive en route south, while the old swimming hole remains popular.

Saline Savines Bank will host a water dues and taxes collection on Wednesday July 15 1942. F Camburn Treasurer will oversee the event and provide service to residents.
