CHICAGO shelter expert Richard E. Baringer of IIT reported plastic covering vinyl sprayed on tubular steel frames created experimental shelters. The quick drying material appears cheaper, resistant to moisture, and could be used with a rigid framework. It is also used for sculptures, furniture and lighting fixtures.

Otis S. Hardy, 33, of Ann Arbor, is appointed to a new Highway Information Director post with the Michigan State Highway Department as part of a major reorganization. He succeeds Elmer Hanna who resigned July 15 and will supervise Public Information and other admin duties.
