Bond Issue for Saline High School Wins Majority Vote
The Saline Area High School bond issue passed with 426 votes for and 276 against at a June 24 election in the school gymnasium. Turnout was strong with 607 total votes from 909 registered voters. 5 ballots were invalid. The new building will expand facilities and allow future expansion to add courses for local students.

E. A. Sawall New York Central station master announces daily freight service using NYC semi trucks for Saline. pickups at 10 A.M. Monday through Friday from the Saline terminal, improving fast connections to the main line and speeding up both inbound and outbound freight. Previously freight moved only once weekly when trains stopped.

Hay Bales Spill On Saline Milan Road Incident
A load of bailed hay broke from a truck on Saline-Milan Road near the Saline light, scattering onto a 1952 Chevrolet. No injuries, car only minor hay, owner Joe Hill. Helpers Ed McQueik and two others reloaded the hay. Mr. Kirby directed traffic and received drinks.

Mrs Olgar Lambarth Died At Home In Lodi Township
Mrs Olgar M Lambarth died at her home 4984 Weber Road on June 19th born January 19 1899 in Lodi Township. She was the wife of Robert Lambarth and mother of four daughters Mrs Oscar Zahn Mrs Richard Macomber Rose Ann Lambarth Carol Marie Lambarth and one son Norman Lambarth. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical and Lutheran Church. Funeral services were held Saturday at the church with Revernd Engel officiating at Lodi Cemetery.
