Auto Meets Bus At Busy Corner
A minor collision occurred at the corner of N Harris St and E Michigan Ave as a motorist named Joseph Marr of Wyandotte said a nearby officer signaled him to proceed while a school bus driven by Henry F Groeb of Ann Arbor was turning off US 23. Vehicle damage totaled about 1000 dollars for the car and 500 dollars for the bus.

165 Hostelers Attend Meeting at Greenfield Village
One hundred sixty five hostelers houseparents and board members gathered at Greenfield Village for the A H National Conference and Council meeting held during the weekend of November 14. Delegates represented multiple councils from major cities and nations with Canadian Youth Hostel Association in attendance. The event focused on promoting future growth of hosteling under the banner Hosteling on the March with workshops on operation council relations publicity finance leadership and tours. The 25th Anniversary Year of AYH will run from late 1958 to December 1959 with Percival Brunadge as honorary chairman and Edward Jenkins as organizing chairman.

A damaged telephone cable near Saline cut 220 toll circuits and disrupted about 96 conversations, isolating Saline Macon Tecumseh Adrian and parts of Toledo. Crews from Detroit Edison and General Telephone worked through near freezing weather to install a temporary splice and restore service by 9 30 p m. The accident occurred three miles north of Saline on the Ann Arbor Saline Road during pole anchor work. Kiwanis heard German exchange students Dieter Kragl and Gerhardt Borne discuss educational systems and east west politics at Martys Restaurant Monday night. Lauren Wield will lead next weeks Kiwanis program.
