A Tuesday night two car crash west of Saline near Della injures Indiana resident Mary E. Brown and Detroit resident Russell G. Jensen. Brown suffers head leg and back injuries. Jensen has leg and knee burns. Brown is hospitalized in Ann Arbor. Jensen later treated.

Saline Area Schools Add New Bus For 1957 58 Routes

The Saline Area School System adds one new bus for 1957 58 with 15 regular routes and 6 kindergarten routes. Time changes move morning openings to 8 45, about 15 minutes earlier. riders should be ready 15 minutes before last year’s boarding time. The fleet totals 26 buses worth 75 192 dollars, traveling about 123 000 miles yearly.

Mrs Herrst 71 Dies in Lodi Township Crash

A 71-year-old Pittsfield township woman Mrs Emma C Herrst died in a two car crash on Wagner Road in Lodi township. Her husband John W Hearst 76 was in critical condition with chest injuries at St Joseph Mercy Hospital. Joel Sinkule 18 was treated and released for cuts and chest bruises. Deputy reports state Sinkule failed to stop after seeing the Herrst car cross the road while turning into an orchard lane. The incident occurred Thursday night with state officials noting the casualty tally for 1957.

A Saine resident filed a complaint with the Sa line Police Department about a rear dance area light left off at the canteen last Wednesday, August 21. Police told owner Neil Allen the light would be turned on, prompting discussion on teen recreation and community spaces.
