Farm of Future Shown on Tour in Michigan
A 1957 State Farm Management Tour visited Richard Powers’ Peckens Road farm south of Chelsea and Warren Huff’s Curtis Road farm north of Ypsilanti. Saline Begins Construction On General Telephone Building
Saline starts work Thursday on the General Telephone Co building at 335000 dollars. The cement block and brick structure will sit behind the present office at the corner of South Ann Arbor and West Henry Streets. It will house dial phone equipment and service, replacing the current frame building. About 1700 phones will be in service when completed, up from 1621 in use now.
