Bishop G Bromley Oxnam of Washington will address the Annual Training Conference for Methodist men at East Lansing on Saturday April 10. He has served as bishop since 1936 and is a noted author. He was exonerated by a Congressional committee after a prior communist activity accusation. Scouts Bid Farewell to Veronica Little at Saline Court of Honor
Saline Boy Scouts troop 46 held its Court of Honor at the high school on April 5 with 12 candles for the 12 laws. Tenderfoot badges went to Tommy Green and Frederick Aus, while second class badges went to nine boys. First class badges earned by Robbie Brown Larry Lang and Tommy Richards. Merit badges awarded to War ren Eaton in metal work conservation woodwork and wood carving. Patrol leaders named for Piencer Apache and Wolf patrols. Council official Tom Wade Shook urged dad involvement. A color movie from the 1953 jamboree was shown. Girl Scouts and Legion Auxiliary honored Veronica Little with a luncheon and a mahogany table when she resigned after eleven years of service and building the clubhouse.

A Cub Carnival was held Tuesday night March 30 at the high school gym. The event offered a wide variety of entertainment for all ages. A mother reported hundreds of sprites were given away. The carnival was considered a great success.
