Gulf States Camera Clubs Salon Set in Baton Rouge

The Louisiana State Art Commission announced its 7th Annual Gulf States Camera Clubs Photographic Salon and Contest runs Sept 25 to Oct 23 in Baton Rouge. Nine states invited to exhibit five prints per club. judges will pick winners in black and white prints and color slides, with top clubs recognized by a region-wide point system. Louisiana Art Exhibition to Tour State After Baton Rouge Display

Broussard announced a traveling photo show by a hewecottier taught at LSU and shown at the LSU art gallery. The collection travels to Houston for a convention and then returns to the Old State Capitol Galleries in Baton Rouge until October 31 before touring Louisiana for a year to libraries and schools starting at Vermilion Parish Library in Abbeville. Open hours are weekdays and Saturdays 9:30 am to 5 pm and Sundays 1 to 5 pm.
