In Toronto, 600 fans were left disappointed when Music Mann Tours could not supply valid tickets for Bruce Springsteen shows despite $69 vouchers. Police notified Springsteen’s lawyer and the crowd dispersed peacefully as refunds could not be guaranteed.

State sets bond sale date for severance tax issue
The New Mexico Board of Finance schedules a 115 million severance tax bond sale for Sept 24 to fund public works across the state. The board also approves a 117 500 fee for new financial advisors Lazard Freres Co and Garrett Thurburg Management, replacing E F Hutton Co. The issue includes 95.97 million from 1985 authorizations and 19.02 million from prior sessions with remaining 25.38 million to be issued later.
