A young boy age 14 died in a tragic accident as sympathy pours in from relatives and the community in Winnipeg and district. Also noted are several visits, anniversaries, and social events including Bingo and a hall dance Friday night. A Thanksgiving service is planned Sunday at 11 30 in the United Church with all invited.
The Rural Municipality of Rossburn announces councillor candidates for Ward No.3, doc Borowski and Mike Gawryluk, with an electors vote set for October 23, 1963. Polls open 9 am to 5 pm at Mike Gawryliuk residence and the Community Hall in Mears. Returning Officer N Karmazenuk signs the notice.

Mrs Paquet and Miss Joyce Sirnick attended the Rossburn Roman Catholic church on Sunday Oct 6 and dinner after. Nurse Decorby from Sacred Heart hospital Russell stayed with her aunt Mrs Paquet. Mrs E Ratcliffe sold her house to Mr and Mrs Alex Mazur with a household sale Oct 19. She plans winter with son Charles at Foam Lake Sask. Illness notes include Mrs Myrtle McTavish Shoal Lake and visitor Bert McTavish. Mrs Switzer hosted relatives including Matt Kowal and Ruthenia teacher Mrs Walter Prokopychuk. Horace Michalchuk’s cafe sold to Oral LaBlanc of St Lazare, taking over Oct 15. Duchak family attended Matt Senko Silver Wedding anniversary. congratulations to Senko pair on 25 years. Winnipeg weekend visitors Peter Pradhnik Ronnie and Louise joined Senko anniversary. Nelson Dagg and family visited Oakburn. Mrs Pritchard Sr is very sick at Sacred Heart hospital. Chaytor to Winnipeg Thursday. Adam to eye specialist, injured last week at Marcell Sask, two fingers broken and thumb badly hurt. Alex Parabee of Russell and relatives with son and daughter-in-law plan to travel.
Mr Charlie C Mushumanski of Angusville died August 15 at Sacred Heart hospital Russell at age 71. Born in Poland November 5 he came to Canada in 1900 and lived in Angusville. Survived by four sons Melton Creston BC Verne Williams Lake BC Cornelius North Burnaby BC Howard Lawrence Canterbury Victoria Australia. eight grandchildren. three brothers Frank Mike Angusville Clement Mary Scora Port Hope Ontario. Nellie Winerski Yale Michigan. Funeral August 18 at Roman Catholic Church Rev Leo Bartley officiating. interment St Taressa Cemetery. Pallbearers listed.
Mrs Maron Slon caught a large nine pound pickerel last Friday at Big Fish Fishing Lake and appeared with the fish on CKX TV.
