Kevin Bon thuis son of Mr and Mrs Robert Bon thuis attends the Mickey Owen Baseball School in Miller designed to assist and improve fundamentals and skills while teaching discipline character and body development. Open to all ages and experiences in five age groups for two week sessions with possible longer stays. Kevin plans to enter Rock Valley Community School and has long shown great interest and skill in baseball.

Funeral services were held Monday June 20 for Mrs William Van Steenwyk in LeMars with burial there. Born August 9, 1890 in Holland she came to the United States at age three and lived in Rock Valley before moving to LeMars in 1939. She was formerly Yessie Hyman and married William Steenwyk July 19 1937 in Orange City. Survivors include two brothers Casey of Hull and Sonne of Rock Valley and two sisters Mrs Minnie Albertus of Pierre S D and Mrs Neltie Perriva of Hollywood California.
