Lakes Co op Workshop Opens At Vacation Village
Mr and Mrs Owen Manning attended the Felcor Sta tex Lakes Workshop at Vacation Village this week. The annual event by Farmers Regional Cooperative Fort Boge opened with Sunday Vespers and ran June 19 to 22. It aims to help cooperative managers perform better, with group and panel discussions. Manning is manager of Farmers Elevator Co Rock Valley and attended a ladies program. A similar session for cooperative employees occurred the previous week with Bill Seb and Gerrit Van Maanen. Also present were Alvin Miller and family members Gary and Danny. Miller heads Farmers Lumber Co Reck Valley.

Good News Quartet to sing at Rock Valley high school
Good News Quartet of H0 cand Iowa will present a gospel concert Thursday evening June 30 at 8 in the Rock Valley high school auditorium. The group formed in January 1965 and has performed nationally, with four record albums available at concerts by mail and in stores. A free will offering will be taken. the event is open to the public. The Vande Vegte family reunion is set for Friday July 1 at Rock Valley Park.

Tom McGill spoke for the class as Horace Hegge regretted missing the event due to business. Mrs Hegge provided floral arrangements while Haas led a campus tour highlighting remodeled facilities and a near completed gym.
