Mulder Receives Doctor of Medicine Degree at Iowa University

Richard D. Mulder son of Clarence and Mrs Mulder of Rock Valley graduated from the University of Iowa June 7 with a Doctor of Medicine. He was born in Rock Valley and attended Rock Valley Public High School class of 1958. After pharmacy studies and internships he will intern at McKeenan Hospital Sioux Falls South Dakota. He is married to Rath Van Buen.

Harvey De Jager Receives Wisconsin Sheltered Work Certificate

Harvey C. De Jager executive director of Hope Haven earned a Certificate in Sheltered Work from the University of Wisconsin Department of Studies in Behavioral Disabilities during a June ceremony in Madison. Sixteen participants nationwide completed the six week program, funded by the federal government, to rehabilitate the handicapped through sheltered work. James Ballantyne spoke at the ceremony. Delwyn Lindholm coordinated the Wisconsin program and recommended Hope Haven as a model facility during a Rock Valley visit.
