Funeral services for Mrs Gerrit Van Beek 73
Funeral services for Mrs Gerrit Van Beek 73 who died at Lutheran hospital in Sioux City Sunday June 16 will be held Wednesday June 9 at Porter Funeral home at 1 30 pm with Rev C Hegeman of Sioux Center officiating. She was born in Wolson Netherlands Feb 18 1892 came to America at age 12 and settled in New Jersey later moving to Rock Valley where she lived until death. She married Gerrit Van Hee March 6 1912. Survived by seven children Peter Bellflower Calif Agnes Mrs Jim Blom Harry Nick Mease Everdina Mrs William Koedam all of Rock Valley and Simon of Dean. Also 26 grandchildren and six great grandchildren one sister Mrs Gerrit Visser and one brother Sam beth of Rock Valley. Pallbearers listed. Interment Valley View cemetery Rock Valley. Additionally notes outreach on local graduations and visits from family members across Iowa and Michigan.
