Mrs. Bertha Thomassen thanks friends and neighbors for cards visits and prayers while a patient at Hegg Memorial Hospital. Special thanks to Dr Mears Al Porter and hospital staff for care and to Rev Var Zweden for visits and prayers. These acts will be remembered.
The Vanden Bosch and Westra families express gratitude to Rock Valley and Hull relatives neighbors and friends for support with a farm sale and move. The notice also reports multiple birth announcements at Hegg Memorial Hospital with names dates and grandparents listed for Gayle Adgela and Sarah Ano and Vicki Kowe, along with an adoption birth for Richene Ann.
The senior class thanks everyone who supported the effort to raise funds by attending the soup supper. Net proceeds totaled about 340 dollars.

A Hawarden Malicious Injury to Buildings case against Aevin Klave bond set at 500 dollars. Edward Schneider Granville probate appoint Donald Schneider and Charlene Full executors without bond.
At Wheatland Legion's noon meeting on Wednesday July 14, a plaque was accepted on behalf of an awardee who could not attend the Friday night banquet on June 25. Past Post 10 Commander Kim Cayton delivered the plaque to Wheatland. Record Times Photo accompanies the report.
The calendar lists Hope Haven events from February 13 to 18 at the Christian Reformed Church Pipestone and related sites. Highlights include morning and afternoon worship, vacation days for the Child Development Center, staff visits to Glenwood Ta and Coun cil Bluffs, in service training, new enrollees at Work Training Center, an audiometric course in Des Moines, a United Cerebral Palsy tour, and visitors from Iowa cities, Jenison Michigan, and Seoul Korea.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kemperman observe their 25th wedding anniversary with an open house at their home on Saturday February 26 from 2 to 6 p.m. Friends and relatives are welcome. No gifts are requested by the couple.
The Rock Valley Commercial Club supper date was moved to Monday March 20. Last week’s Bee listed several fines for local residents including Bob A Feekes with violation costs, Michael Gene Sandbutte for failing to stop at a red signal, Rhonda Mae Verburg for parking in front of a hydrant, Arlyn Boon for lane parking, Harvard Youtburg for improper plates and failing to move a vehicle for snow removal.
