Figures from the Iowa Department of Public Instruction show Rock Valley Community School District ranking second in the county for pupil to teacher ratio, with 17.6 overall and 19.7 in K-8 and 14.3 in high school. Rock Valley Community School Awards Contracts and Bus Driver
In a special session Rock Valley Community School board awarded kitchen equipment and commons furniture contracts with 13 bids. The lowest kitchen bid was 5924 while the top was 1527 for comparable gear. Rick Wallenberg named new bus driver and bleacher order approved. Plans set to open bidding for a new school bus. teacher salary committee presented proposals with no final action. The board expects to meet next year to decide salaries.

Ambulance Discussion Set in Rock Valley Meeting
The Hogg Memorial Hospital Board and Rock Valley City Council schedule a February 17 meeting to discuss a community ambulance service. The session at Rock Valley City Hall invites interested persons at 8:90 p.m. Bernice Bargema, a county nurse, will attend, while St Poner of Rock Valley, who has run the Ideal ambulance service for a decade, will discontinue service on July 1.

Farm Banquet At St Marys Church Rock Valley
