Rock Valley FFA Chapter joins 430000 members nationwide for National FFA Week beginning February 19 with posters in stores and a newspaper page ad. Washington’s Birthday is observed as part of the celebration. Members plan subdistrict contest on March 4 and district on March 11, plus a radio program, a cobbaggon party, and the Parents-Son Banquet on March 29.

Jobn Top'at Rock Valley backed into Mrs. August De Ruyter's 1989 Buick in Van's Foodland parking lot on February 9 at 10:30 a.m. Top backed to allow space and struck the De Ruyter car. De Ruyter suffered $189 damage. Top's 1966 Ford sustained $75. No injuries were reported.

Two Groups Form For Local Story Hour At Library
Rock Valley Public Library splits weekly story hour into two sessions after 21 children attended last Saturday. Younger children under five join at 10 a.m with guardians welcome at 10 a.m. Five and older attend at 11 a.m with siblings allowed at 10 a.m. Each Saturday session runs for five weeks.
