The Woman's Relief Corps and World War veterans held a convention with a parade to Immanuel church led by a Fife and Drum Corps from Drury Post Chicago. Mrs Edith MacRae was elected District president for 1929 and installed with Mary West as senior vice president. The event featured memorial flowers, a song by Mrs Irene Garry, taps by Edward Brookfelt, and a hearty church dinner.

About sixty precinct committeemen attended along with Republican club officers, with a musical program and speeches by representatives.
