Volunteers Needed For Cancer Drive In South Suburban Cook County
The South Suburban Chapter of the American Cancer Society names John H. Kellogg as 1969 Cancer Crusade Director to lead efforts across 52 towns. About 3,500 volunteers are expected in the South Suburban area as April is Cancer Crusade Month, with funds supporting research education and service. Army Pvt Willard Vander Zee from South Holland completed a five week integrated accounting course at Fort Benjamin Harrison, training in financial management and disbursing operations before his Army service.
