Annexation To Dolton Is Opposed
At the February 23 Dolton Village Board meeting, Mrs Savilla Livingston presented a 100-signature petition from about 50 families opposing annexation of an unincorporated area bounded by 154th Street Calumet Expressway Greenwood Road Paxton and 159th Street. A smaller 32-signature petition from about 16 families supported annexation, but homeowners opposed prevailed and Trustee Paul Oviatt moved to drop the matter.
