Former Riverdale Resident Sentenced for Forgery
Carl Lynch, 27, formerly of Riverdale on Yoho Street, received a one to four year term in Cook County jail on three counts of forgery and passing bogus checks. Lynch was arrested May 17 by Officer Frank Albrecht after warrants from multiple departments including Lansing Hammond Munster Dolton South Chicago and Blue Island. he was also sought in Chicago Heights for auto larceny. Concurrent sentences were stated and Lynch had left Riverdale years earlier after working at a local garage.

Dolton Police Apprehend Armed Robbery Suspect
Dolton police arrested Stanley Daum 19 of Oak Forest after a highway stop near Sibley and Michigan City Road. Hammond police had linked three suspects to the LaSalle Hotel robbery. two were named Richard Foreman and Samuel McClellan, both Harvey residents. The third suspect matched Daum’s description and was identified by the other two. Daum had prior burglary probation and extradition arrangements were set with Hammond authorities.

Harold Brown was elected 1960-61 commander of Paul Gall Post 303, American Legion, at the post annal election held June 28. He succeeds Arch Walker, who completed a year as commander.
