Parish Picnic at St Jude Church Slated for July 1
St Jude Apostle Catholic Church in Lemont Illinois hosts its third annual Parish Picnic at Slovak Grove on July 1. Organized by the Men Holy Name Society and Women’s Club with aid from many volunteers, the event features a Polka Concert an auction of mystery packages rides for children multiple booths and extensive refreshments including Polish Italian sausage sandwiches hot beef sandwiches hot dogs soda and coffee. Committees led by Mrs Mary Henneberry and Mrs Helen Karwacki coordinate ticket cake grocery treasure chess and game booths with numerous helpers from the parish community.

Wilfred J. Corriveau Sr. of 14398 Dearborn Riverdale died July in Billings Hospital Chicago. Born September 16, 1896 in Dolton he lived in Riverdale his whole life. A railroad engineer and Lions Club past president he also served as Past Master of Triluminal Lodge 70 A M F and A M. He is survived by Olive wife a son Wilfred Jr a daughter Mrs. Jeanine Morgan a brother Edward and four grandchildren. Masonic services were held at Bachmann Funeral Home with funeral Tuesday at 1 30 officiated by Rev. Clifford Well. Interment was private.

Leslee Bock and Charlene Hendrickson of Dalton are among 75 high school students from 55 Illinois cities and two other states joining EI U campus for the third annual recreation camp. The group will spend July 3 to July 10 in campus housing with meals in the cafeteria. Tom Katsimpalis and Rex Darling lead the camp with University involvement handling instruction and activities.
