Community chairmen appoint captains for Cerebral Palsy drive
Neighborhood captains were named to aid the United Cerebral Palsy fund drive and March of 15 minute door to door effort. Captains in South Holland and Dolton areas will organize about 28 volunteers each to collect donations during the house to house march on January 13, with the drive running from late December to January 15.

Dolton Building Permits Report for November Fire Damage
November building permits in Dolton totaled 275 173 with fourteen homes and eleven garages valued at 233 and 16 275 respectively plus fifteen improvements and eight thousand dollars in miscellaneous items. A mail box at 138th and Leyden burned however the Riverdale Fire Department extinguished the blaze using four hand pumps and a mail carrier delivered the post after.

The Dolton Fire Department announces Christmas tree pickup begins at 3 am on January 8 1961 residents should place trees on the parkway fronts of their homes.
