Rio Rancho Declares Purple Heart City Status

County fire chief joins PERA board of directors
Sandoval County Fire Chief James Maxon was elected to the New Mexico Public Employees Retirement Association board for a four year term starting January 1. The PERA board oversees the retirement fund for most state and local government employees in New Mexico. Maxon said he aims to help ensure a secure retirement for all PERA participants.
