The Rio Rancho Utilities Commission will consider recommending issuance of 25 million in utility revenue bonds to fund a new Wastewater Treatment Plant on Sara Road. The six member City Council must approve by five votes. The ill aged plant from the 1970s is slated for replacement to support growth and water reuse.
Rio Rancho is upgrading its ISO fire protection rating from 3 to 2 effective December 1, placing the department among the top 2 percent nationally.
