Hoover faces 22 felony counts involving minors in Rio Rancho

Hoover is charged with 22 felonies including criminal sexual contact contributing to delinquency and witness intimidation. Defense says two alleged victims lied about being tied up to distract from credibility. A gag order limits details though the DA says trial readiness remains. Complaints followed videotaped interviews by the Children Youth and Families Department. Victims allege rape and molestation at Hoover’s residence from May to September 1993 during overnight visits. Depositions will be shown at trial to avoid direct confrontation with the children. Hoover pleaded not guilty at two arraignments and is free on $150,000 bond after living in an Albuquerque apartment and being banned from Rio Rancho.
