Rescue frees kittens stuck in drain hole
Three homeless kittens trapped in a drainage hole along Stephanie Road were rescued this week with help from Rio Rancho Fire Rescue and Rio Rancho Animal Control. A passerby found them Wednesday morning. Deputy Fire Rescue Chief Paul Bearce helped rescue two, while an officer lured the third with cat food. The kittens are ownerless and were taken to Animal Control.
