Rams football boosters host a fundraising four person scramble at Club Rio Rancho on Friday May 22 with tee time noon. Entry is 450 per team including cart range balls dinner and two drink tickets plus contests longest drive closest to hole and potential car prize. Rams tennis coach Gordon Douglas runs a July 6-10 five day camp at AAHS from 9 to noon for 60 per camper or 100 for two siblings. Pre register by July email gdouglas hrps.net. Rio Rancho Rams hold two summer camp sessions and sports events

The seventh annual Rio Rancho Rams Basketball Summer Camp offers two sessions June 1-5 and June 15-19 for grades 1-9 at RRHS and Rio Rancho Middle School with coach Wally Salata and staff. Camp runs 9 am to noon. registration details, contact, and walk-up days listed. Also a charity 1% hole golf scramble June 20 at Club Rio Rancho to support Storm football, plus a June 24 youth tennis camp at CHS.

Cleveland High baseball dropped 8-1 at Rio Rancho before a Saturday home showing to settle for second in District 1-6A. Rio Rancho improved to 19-7, while Cleveland stood 15-8. Rio Rancho names Scott Peterson girls basketball coach

Scott Peterson is named the new varsity girls coach at Rio Rancho High, the third head coach in school history. He previously coached at La Cueva and James Monroe Middle, has ties to Valley and Santa Fe programs, and impressed with his emphasis on individual development over tactics.
