Nelson keeps hopeful climb as Isotopes slugger eyeing majors
Nelson, 30, battles Arenado era in Colorado, strong minor league resume with Rockies chain, and a steady minor league path through 2010s. He recalls high school honors, lists stints with Rockies, Yankees, Angels, Padres, and many minors, while pushing for a chance at the big leagues. He notes Arenado’s power and the franchise’s current faces, yet stays optimistic about earning a call with continued performance at Isotopes Park.
