Jeep rollover at Lariat Square leaves driver injured
Rio Rancho officers responded to a one vehicle crash Friday evening at Lariat Square on Southern Boulevard. Firefighters extricated a senior man driving the Jeep and ferried him to the hospital with minor injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt. Police Capt. Paul Rogers II said the driver was charged with DWI. The wreck occurred just after 7.

Fire injures 1 and damages Corrales Heights home
A bathroom fan overheated and sparked a second alarm attic fire in the 300 block of Vera Baja Drive Corrales Heights. Firefighters knocked it down after crews entered as flames reached the roof. an elderly homeowner was treated for smoke inhalation and released. The damage is about $150000.

10th Street death ruled a self-inflicted case
Sandoval County investigators concluded that Matthew Senter, 30, died by his own actions near his vehicle just outside Rio Rancho. Deputies had initially treated the unattended death as a possible homicide but later confirmed the cause as self-inflicted based on detective findings. Argen Duncan.
