Rio Rancho Sports Hall of Fame seeks Class of 2015 nominees
The RRHS Sports Hall of Fame invites nominations for the Class of 2015. Nominations are via rrps.net or Vince Metzgar’s office with a June deadline valid for three years. Inductees will be notified by August and honored at a homecoming halftime ceremony. Also, the 2015 Rio Rancho Youth Football Combine runs June 19–20 at Rio Rancho Stadium from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Texas Longhorns fall to UConn in Sweet 16
University of Texas junior forward Sara Hattis returned from a five game absence to log one minute in the first half and 15 in the second half of Texas 105 54 loss to UConn. Hattis scored 6 points with 4 rebounds as Texas ended the season 24 11, the program’s best win total and deepest NCAA run since 2003 04.
