Native American Student Art Show at Indian Pueblo Center

The 36th annual Native American Student Art Show runs through April 30 at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque. Entry is included with museum admission. The exhibit honors Lincoln Canes given to 19 pueblos by President Lincoln and features a record 190 plus contestants from 14 schools. The theme Symbols of Leadership focuses on leadership's impact on individuals and communities.

April PHARSDAY live music and stand up comedy night

A library concert at Loma Colorado Main Library runs 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. featuring the Rancho Symphonic Band with a clarinet program and free admission. The Stage presents Brow, Iggy Samaniego and Anthony Animal Garcia for Stand-up Comedy Thursdays, doors at 6:30 and showtime 7:30.

David Nufier leads David & Co a veteran group touring with B B King Chicago and The Neville Brothers. Originally signed by Koala Records in 1976 the band sold over 80 000 copies of its vinyl. The re mastered recording returns to fans for a new generation tonight and Saturday at Lounge 54.

Coronado Historic Site presents Pueblo Byways featuring Dorothy Dunn collection watercolors from the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture Santa Fe. Best of quilting on display at outdoor show

Thimbleweeds Quilters Guild of Rio Rancho hosts an outdoor quilt show at Veterans Monument Park on Sunday April 19 from 10 to 3. About 200 quilts by Albuquerque and Rio Rancho quilters will be shown with live music, refreshments, and vendors selling fabrics notions crafts and even long arm quilting machines.
