The Boyden celebration lists an afternoon program with a Midget Ball Game at 1 30 and a Girls Ball Game at 2 45 followed by Free Acts at 4 00. Evening shows include Free Acts at 7 30 and All Star Ball Game at 8 30 with Sheldon vs Boyden at 9 45 followed by fireworks.

Post Office Box Rent Up Across Departments

The Post Office Department announces a box rent increase effective July 1 1953. Larger offices see about four dollar quarterly jumps, with smaller boxes rising at least two dollars. Boyden rates rise from 35 to 65 cents, 45 to 90 cents, and 60 cents to 110 cents. The old charges dated to 1907 with cost increases for equipment and service.

Miss Shirley Kooiker was honored Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Datus Sale. Guests included Mrs. Ethel Van Dyke Miss Corleen Westra and several others from Sheldon Hull and local towns. The evening featured games, gifts for the bride to be, and a two course luncheon served by the hostesses.

Miss Joan Vanden Hoeven returned home last week from the State Hospital. Diane Gordon, a veteran's hospital patient in Sioux Falls, came home Thursday. Peter Baartman Sr. shows improvement after illness. Richard Van Diepen remains a patient in the Sioux Falls veteran's hospital. John Grooters recovered at home after an appendix operation. Johny Smid had a tonsillectomy in Sheldon hospital Monday. Mrs. Nick Rouwenhorst had surgery Saturday at Sheldon hospital. G. P. Horn lies in critical condition after a fall and skull fracture at home.
