Beckley Manufacturing Expands At Skelton Site
Beckley Manufacturing plans its first major expansion since moving from Prince Street to Skelton in October 1953. The plant adds a Material Control Department with IBM equipment to track daily orders and inventories, plus a timekeeping and cost control setup to manage budgets. A government contract will open a second-floor branch on Valley Drive to assemble wiring for radar gear and a junction box, with about 15 new workers and nine months to complete. The plant employs around 575, led by Sam Caseino and Paul Sanna, and remains the region’s largest IF Transformer producer with steady demand from auto radios, TV sets, and color television devices.
