Receives Wings Second Lt Michael McBride at Vance AFB
Second Lt Michael E. McBride son of Mr and Mrs E McBride of Syracuse has earned silver wings at Vance Air Force Base Oklahoma after graduating from pilot training. He received an Outstanding Graduate award and the Instrument Navigation award. He will train at Altus Oklahoma then report to Norton AFB California to fly a C 141 jet transport. He is a 1970 Utah State University civil engineering graduate and was commissioned through ROTC. He is married to Jeanie Elwell and has a two year old son Chad.

Juvenile Court Program Explained Across District
Jay Ro McKenzie, a juvenile probation officer for the Sixth Judicial District, spoke to Bancroft, Grace, and Soda Springs school boards about a district wide Juvenile Court program. The reorganization merged Probate Justice and Police Courts, with most cases moving to County Magistrates and juvenile matters handled district wide. The program aims to inform students and parents about court records and their long term effects on jobs, military, and education. It will begin mid October and operate across area schools to stress prevention and awareness of legal records.
