Adherence To Rules On Labor Use And Wages
The labor committee outlines crews of at least 200 for Germans and urges farmers to coordinate with neighbors. German PW s and Mexican Nationals receive government piece rate pay for potato and sugar beet work. Operators must supervise imported workers and keep daily work records to avoid delays and must settle wages each Saturday night or when a job ends. If weather is favorable and all labor is utilized, harvests should proceed without difficulty.
