Million Dollar Grain Crop Seen In Caribou

Caribou county farmers expect a record grain harvest worth about a million dollars despite September snowstorm damage. County Agent Elmer Rieman cited adequate labor and 120 carloads of wheat shipped so far. Snow left 1 to 3 inches of snow and 10 to 40 percent damage in places with heavy wheat stands damaged and some fields only cut in one direction. Wheat and barley are the main crops.
