Juveniles Involved In Car Theft Here Monday Night
Three juveniles are held by Franklin County officers after the theft of Lynn Davis Clifton car on Preston Street Monday night. The car was recovered at Logan by Sheriff Jeff Stowell after surrounding towns were alerted. The youths admitted lacking lights on the car and items including groceries and riding chaps were taken. the chaps were recovered. Two youths are held for juvenile authorities in Seattle, Wash., the third remains a local youth.

Two Brothers Pass In Same Week In Utah Valley
Alma Morrison 62 of Franklin dies suddenly from a heart attack while helping arrange his older brother Joseph Morrison’s burial. Alma married Amy Gregory in 1906 and leaves ten children. Joseph Morrison died in Salt Lake City Friday and was buried in Franklin Monday.

Discharges Mark End of WWII Service for Auger Bodily
S/Sgt Arnold Auger received an honorable discharge at Fort Lewis Washington on September 25 after 52 months of service. Most time was spent at an Aleutian Islands base with recent state-side duty in Oklahoma. Safeway announces Joe Oborn will leave Preston after five years as local store manager to head a larger Safeway in Ogden at 24th and Grant.
