Ford unveils styling and engineering for 1949 passenger cars
Ford Motor Company today announced a radical 1949 Ford redesign aimed at beauty comfort economy and performance. The program features a long low silhouette a distinctive grille widened body and new Hydra Coil suspension plus improved heating air circulation larger windows and safer door operation. The new six and V eight engines promise up to 25 percent better economy with overdrive optional. Two lines Ford and Ford Custom offer multiple body styles including sedans club coupes and wagons.
