X rays linked to cancer warn officials in Senate hearing
UPI reports Dr. Irwin Bross and colleagues told a Senate Commerce panel that regular dental and chest X rays may do more harm than good. They cited studies linking low level radiation to cancer and leukemia, noting many X rays lack medical justification and urging reduced exposure and scrutiny of diagnostic practices.
