Brommerich Guilty of Battery in Late-Night Spanking Case
Ernest R. Brommerich 33 of Rockford Missouri pleaded guilty in circuit court to battery for a spanking he said he gave his wife Dorothy for coming home late. The judge fined him 425 dollars with a seven dollar monthly payment plan. In Washington Caspar Weinberger added a bathroom telephone to his HEW office complex citing practical use. CHIC YOUNG creator of Blondie died at Apollo Medical Center in St. Petersburg Florida at 72 leaving a legacy of a strip in over 1,500 papers and 15 languages with 75 million daily readers. He attributed success to sleep and food and recalled Blondie’s rise after Dagwood’s marriage in 1933. Young, born in Chicago, moved to Clearwater, Florida seventeen years ago from Los Angeles.
