All-Star Coaches Favor Summer Cage Camps

THSCA all-star basketball coaches Ray Landers and Paul Stueckler call for summer camps to raise Texas basketball quality. They cite UIL rules that bar varsity players from summer camps and urge sanctions to limit coaching attendance. Arkansas coach Eddie Sutton backs changing outdated rules, noting Texas is the only state banning such participation. Proctor, a 6-7 THSCA pick, says camps would help him play against peers of his height. The North-South All Star football game closes the coaching school activities Thursday at the Astrodome.
