Ohio 1860 law Aims to Protect Wool Growers From Dogs
The General Assembly of Ohio enacts a measure making any dog owner liable for damages caused by their dog and allows people to kill roaming dogs or those harming sheep or lambs. The act repeals a prior sheep protection law and takes effect upon passage, with signatures by Senate and House leaders.
